A proposed Horizon EU mission provides the blueprint for setting on a path towards sustainable management. One of the proposed targets is to make sure that at least 75% of all soils are in a healthy state by 2030. The EU Observatory launched today will monitor the progress towards the achievement of these goals.

Echo Horizon – EchoSoil

ECHO is a Research and Innovation Action co-funded by the Union under the Horizon programme, and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). It will last 4 years – from June 2023 to May 2027. The project aims to engage citizens in protecting and restoring soils by building their skills and enhancing their knowledge on soils.
